Well I never thought that I would be away for this
long. Originally I took time off because our daughter was born and then we
moved to the Toledo area. We got settled and I was getting ready to open
up again when we got some very bad news. I was diagnosed with Stage 3
Breast Cancer. This came as a complete shock as I have no family history
and I was only 37 years old. I have had four invasive surgeries and six
months of chemotherapy and then radiation with my final surgery this
February. It was a very surreal experience and I had some really amazing
help and support from family and friends. I learned that it is very
important to do what you love to do and it is all about quality time and
not quantity.
With that said, I am anxious to get back. I have
had to make some changes to the product lines. But I have some
exciting new ideas and products to add in the upcoming months. I
have really missed the creative outlet.

I was born in Toronto, Canada. My father is from
Ireland, and when I was 3, we decided to move the family back to Ireland
where I was raised. I lived there until I was 19 when I returned to
Toronto on my own. I spent some time in Vancouver, Canada and then went
back to Toronto where I met and married my husband. We have been married
for seven years and during that time we have lived in Toronto, Singapore,
and now Cincinnati, Ohio for the last 4 and a half years.
I started making these ribbon notepads with heavier
paper for myself I always thought that regular notepad paper was too
thin. I was encouraged to share them and finally after 2 years I decided
to give this business a try.
What does "kfraoch" mean?
The K stands for Kelly and Fraoch ("Fray Ock")
means "Heather" (my surname) in Gaelic.
Everything you see on this website is made by hand I also
make the notepads in regular weight paper as well as the heavier paper -
some people feel that the heavier paper is too good to use. Imagine that!
